Agnès Verdier-Molinié was born on December 26, 1978 in Talence, Gironde. After studying history, she obtained a Master's degree in Contemporary Economic History from the Université Michel de Montaigne (Bordeaux III) in 2000, before continuing her studies at the Institut Français de Presse of the Université Panthéon-Assas.
From 1999 to 2002, Agnès carried out internships, freelanced and wrote articles and surveys for a number of newspapers including Sud-Ouest, Le Figaro, L'Express and France Info. In 2002, she joined the iFRAP Foundation, initially as a researcher, then in 2005 as head of institutional relations. In 2009 she became Director of iFRAP. Between 2009 and 2011 she was appointed by Christine Lagarde, Minister of the Economy, to the Executive Committee of the Comité pour la diffusion de la culture économique (Codice).
