Delville Management, a transition management firm, is involved in the "Entrepreneurs dans la ville" programme launched by the association Sport dans La Ville, and runs mentoring initiatives for young entrepreneurs from emerging urban neighbourhoods.

The Entrepreneurs dans la Ville Programme

Founded in 1998 by Nicolas Eschermann, Sport dans la ville is a non-profit association whose mission is to support young people from priority neighbourhoods.

Over the years, Sport dans la Ville has expanded its reach across France and has become one of the country's leading non-profit organisations.

The association uses sport as a vehicle for positive social development.

Through its various programmes, it supports the social and professional integration of 10,800 young people each year.

The Entrepreneurs dans la Ville programme, created in partnership with EM Lyon, is a key component of Delville Management's CSR commitment.

It targets young people aged 20 to 35 with an entrepreneurial mindset who aspire to start their own business. Since its launch in 2007, "Entrepreneurs dans la Ville" has contributed to the creation of 448 companies — making a significant contribution to job creation while promoting equal opportunity.

Mentoring: A Strong Bond Between Delville Management and Young Entrepreneurs

One of the greatest strengths of the "Entrepreneurs dans la ville" programme is its mentoring component.

Delville Management has established a framework that enables Club Delville members to share their expertise with young entrepreneurs.

Mentors support young founders from the earliest stages of their projects — helping with business plan development — and share their knowledge through fundraising initiatives for more mature companies.

This expertise-sharing model helps guide young business leaders as they navigate the complex world of entrepreneurship.

This intergenerational connection also gives young people access to a broad network that would otherwise be out of reach, opening doors to new development opportunities.

With the Rugby World Cup in France just months away, it felt natural to sit down with Byron Kelleher. A true legend of New Zealand rugby, he earned 57 caps for the All Blacks and took part in three Rugby World Cups with the team!

He also spent four seasons at Stade Toulousain.
Byron Kelleher remains one of the most iconic players of that era and played a pivotal role in the club's revival. His generosity on the pitch and his fiery temperament left a lasting impression, establishing him as one of the All Blacks who enjoyed the finest career in France, alongside Joe Rokocoko, Carl Hayman and Chris Masoe.

In 2011, Byron announced his departure from the club. He moved to Paris to join Stade Français, where he played for only a few months.

Today he is deeply involved in developing rugby in rural New Zealand, working with young players and coaches to help them reach their potential.

Beyond his professional activities, he remains a passionate supporter of rugby and the All Blacks, and is often spotted in the stands at major matches. His contribution to New Zealand rugby, both on the field and in business, has made him a respected and admired figure in the worlds of sport and commerce.

Byron will come to speak at Delville Management, a transition management firm, and more specifically at Club Delville, about his exceptional sporting journey. He will also discuss how he works with businesses today to help them improve their performance through collective effort and the values of sport.

Breakfast on 15 March

On 15 March 2022, Club Delville welcomed Baptiste Reybier, Deputy CEO of the Fermob group, for a fascinating conversation about the achievements and ambitions of a family-owned mid-sized company. Bernard Reybier, the group's current Chairman and CEO, also shared his experience via video call.

Webinar: Crisis Management Feedback

On 24 March, Club Delville hosted Sacha Tikhomiroff, CEO of the nursery group Les Petits Chaperons Rouges, for a webinar focused on the devaluation of the rouble and the banking crisis of 1998.

On Tuesday 31 May, Club Delville was hosted by Edmond de Rothschild bank for a discussion on the topic of divestiture processes.

On Tuesday 21 June 2022, Club Delville welcomed Marijke Granier Guillemarre — Partner at MGG Voltaire law firm — for a webinar dedicated to "The HR checklist for the transition manager".

On Tuesday 12 April, Club Delville welcomed Claude Atcher for a breakfast to discuss the Rugby World Cup France 2023. It was in 2017 that France's bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup was selected — a first victory that marked the launch of the GIP (Groupement d'Intérêt Public), the body tasked with organising the 10^th edition of this global event. To ensure the eight weeks of competition scheduled for autumn 2023 would be a success, Claude Atcher's teams were mobilised around several key areas: organisation, financing, management, logistics, ticketing, and the challenges and risks involved in hosting a major tournament on home soil. Over a breakfast organised by Delphine Phillipe (Club Delville Manager), followed by a conference led by Jean-Yves Marrec (Mission Director) and Patrick Abadie (Founder of Delville Management), Claude Atcher was first able to outline the various dimensions involved in organising a Rugby World Cup, before taking questions from the floor.

A matter of responsibility and leading by example

Rugby World Cup France 2023 was an opportunity to showcase France on the world stage through the French art de vivre, while also raising the profile of the sport within France itself in order to grow the number of registered players. Claude Atcher chose to compare the challenge of organising such an event to a rugby match. "We will need to stay focused and consistent right until the final whistle if we want to be able to say this event was a success." To deliver a world-class organisation, two guiding principles were adopted: responsibility and leading by example. It would therefore be essential to demonstrate that France deserved to have been selected ahead of countries such as South Africa and Ireland — historically two of the most influential nations in world rugby.
