Delville Management welcomes Indigo Capital as a minority partner
Delville Management, a key player in transition management in France, is opening its capital and welcoming Indigo Capital as a minority partner through an LBO. The transaction, structured by Largillière Finance, marks a turning point in the firm's growth strategy.
A strategic expansion
Since its founding in 2010 by Patrick Abadie, Delville Management has completed more than 1,300 assignments for over 700 clients, primarily mid-sized companies and large corporates. It has established itself as the number two pure-play transition management firm in France. Its team of 60 professionals is spread across Paris, Lyon, Lille, Nantes, Toulouse, Strasbourg, London and Munich.
In 2024, the firm is projecting revenues of close to €45 million, with ambitions to double that figure by 2028 through a combination of organic growth and external acquisitions.
This momentum reflects a positive market trend: the transition management sector has grown strongly, with total industry revenues rising from €300 million in 2016 to €800 million in 2023.
Indigo Capital: a partner to support our growth
After reviewing several proposals, Delville Management ultimately chose Indigo Capital as its minority partner to fund the acquisition of future offices in France and internationally.
Indigo Capital stood out for the flexibility and professionalism of its offer. The fund is well-regarded for structuring and arranging mezzanine financing, providing tailored solutions to the businesses in which it invests.
Patrick Abadie, founder and CEO of the firm, commented: "Since founding Delville Management, closeness to our clients and transition managers has always been a central pillar of our strategy. With the support of Indigo Capital, we will be able to accelerate our growth while maintaining that essential proximity."
Laurent Warlop, Stanley de Butler and Fabien Depierre of Indigo Capital said: "We warmly thank Patrick Abadie, Alexandra Cadic, and the entire management team for the trust they have placed in us. Beyond Delville Management's impressive track record since its founding, we were particularly drawn to the human and collective dimension of the project led by Patrick Abadie and his partners. We will be by their side to support Delville Management in its growth and its ambition to consolidate the transition management market, both in France and across Europe."
A trusted partner
This partnership will enable us to strengthen our development strategy in France and internationally, while continuing to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
Thomas Bureau, Managing Director at Largillière Finance, who structured the capital opening transaction for Delville Management, added: "Delville Management has established itself as a reference player in the fast-growing transition management market.
Indigo Capital holds a unique position thanks to its expertise in financial engineering for SMEs and mid-sized companies.
We are delighted to have facilitated this meeting and wish every success to this project." In conclusion, Indigo Capital's entry into our capital represents a major strategic milestone for our transition management firm. This partnership will strengthen our capacity to support clients through their transformations while continuing to develop our position in the transition management market.

Delville Management evolves its governance
Our transition management firm is implementing a strategic reorganisation of its governance, with ambitious objectives to strengthen its sector expertise and expand its local and international presence.
Enhanced sector expertise under the leadership of Christophe Caro
Delville Management is innovating by structuring its practices around sector expertise.
This new approach, led by Christophe Caro, a partner at the firm, brings together specialists focused on specific industries. For instance, we have created dedicated practices in food and agribusiness transition management, life sciences, and B2B services.
Why this reorganisation?
Our goal is twofold: to provide regional proximity while ensuring deep sector expertise. Each client will benefit from support by both a regional expert — familiar with the cultural and economic characteristics of their area — and a sector specialist, capable of addressing the specific challenges of their industry.
This approach, unique in the transition management market, will enable our clients to access solutions perfectly suited to their needs and maximise the relevance of our work.
Christophe Caro explains: "By grouping our experts by sector, we strengthen our ability to understand the specific needs of each client and to propose tailored, effective and innovative solutions."
Stronger regional presence with Philippe Jauffret
Philippe Jauffret, also a partner at the firm, now oversees all of our regional offices (Lille, Nantes, Toulouse, Strasbourg).
He also retains leadership of the Lyon office.
Why this closer proximity?
Our territorial network strategy, first deployed in France, has proven its effectiveness in delivering close, personalised support.
This strategy, already well-established in France, was recognised with the Financial Performance Award at the 2024 Trophées des Entrepreneurs, presented by the CRCC — Compagnie Régionale des Commissaires aux Comptes — to entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional performance in terms of growth, profitability and financial efficiency.
Patrick Abadie, founder of Delville Management, notes: "Our strategy is built on acquiring small, human-scale local teams. The goal is to meet a dual requirement: immersing ourselves in regional culture, as close as possible to our clients, while maintaining our high quality standards."
This model is designed to guarantee a personalised service that accounts for each client's specific needs, while ensuring an uncompromising quality of service.
International expansion and Paris office management entrusted to Eric Audoin
Eric Audoin, a partner at the firm, is taking charge of the development of our international offices.
This is an essential step in responding to the growing demand from our clients operating outside France.
Why this expansion?
The London and Düsseldorf offices, opened in 2013 and 2022 respectively, laid the foundations of our international strategy. We now plan to open new offices across Europe, replicating the territorial network model that has driven our success in France.
This strategy enables us to create synergies across our offices. For example, our new Strasbourg office, thanks to its strategic position on the Franco-German border, will strengthen our collaboration with the Düsseldorf office and promote Franco-German business exchanges.
"By developing our international offices, we want to offer our clients local expertise and ensure a personalised, proximity-based service — while upholding our quality standards," explains Eric Audoin.
Conclusion
This reorganisation marks an important milestone in our development, reinforcing our ability to address the specific needs of our clients and guaranteeing a close-knit service that is both regional and sector-specific.
Delville Management positions itself as a leading player in transition management, ready to support its clients through their challenges and to offer tailored, effective and innovative solutions. Delville Management opens a transition management office in Strasbourg
Great news for Delville Management: on 1 July 2024, we opened a new transition management office in Strasbourg.
Under the leadership of Pascal Schuster, this strategic location will allow us to serve our clients and support our transition managers across the Eastern region of France.
This opening represents an important milestone in the firm's development, with the ongoing objective of better serving our clients and transition managers by fostering immediate regional proximity.
Why open an office in Strasbourg?
Delville Management has always favoured the establishment of small, human-scale local teams to immerse itself in regional culture and better respond to the needs of local clients and transition managers.
Strasbourg was a natural choice for this new regional anchor at the heart of Eastern France.
The region benefits from a rich industrial heritage and a strategic position on the Franco-German border. The Eastern region is a wealth of opportunities across diverse sectors including automotive, steel, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics. Delville has already carried out a wide range of assignments in these fields (see the full list of our sectors of expertise). With this office, our presence will be more structured and our proximity even greater.
Strengthening the Franco-German axis is also a key objective. Strasbourg facilitates synergies between French and German businesses.
It addresses the specific needs of economic stakeholders on both sides of the border. The connection with our Düsseldorf transition management office will follow naturally.
An ongoing commitment to quality
Strasbourg is our seventh regional office. Pascal Schuster, its director, is supported by sector experts dedicated to meeting our clients' specific needs. Our goal is to deliver the perfect combination of sector expertise, knowledge of the local market, and geographical proximity. This model allows us to offer optimal, tailored solutions.
The close collaboration between our small local teams and our sector experts also aims to maintain a consistently high standard of service across all our existing offices.
With the opening of our Strasbourg office, our transition management firm reaffirms its commitment to delivering a personalised and rigorous service.
A new chapter for Delville Management
The opening of the Strasbourg office represents more than a simple geographic expansion. It marks a new step in fulfilling Delville Management's mission: to be ever closer, more responsive and more attuned to the specific needs of clients and transition managers.
As Pascal Schuster notes: "This new base in Strasbourg is a tremendous opportunity to strengthen our presence in a region full of potential. We continue to deliver the same level of excellence and proximity that defines Delville Management's reputation."
Every new office, every new assignment, is a testament to the renewed trust of our clients and transition managers. Their continued support encourages Delville Management to maintain this quality of service and stay true to its values. This territorial network strategy — made possible by that trust — is at the heart of everything Delville Management does.
Are you a transition manager or do you have a need in the Eastern region?
Contact our Strasbourg officePascal Schuster is your dedicated point of contact in Strasbourg, across the Eastern region, and in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Employee Share Ownership and Value Sharing
At Delville Management, a firm specialising in transition management, we work every day to contribute to a better society. We firmly believe that placing people at the heart of change and fostering collective participation are essential to navigating transitions successfully.
With this in mind, we have revised our employee share ownership policy. For the past year, Delville Management employees with more than two years' tenure have been able to invest in the firm's capital.
This initiative reflects our deep commitment to value sharing and the recognition of every team member's contribution. It also underlines our determination to promote responsible growth.
Inclusivity at the heart of our share ownership policy
Delville Management now counts 16 partners — nine more than at the start of 2023. This evolution reflects the growth and diversity of our firm, and illustrates our ongoing commitment to integrating and developing talent within our structure.
Discover the profiles of all partners at our transition management firm: Patrick Abadie, Eric Audoin, Olivier Barbry, Carole Baujard, Jean Baptiste Bouyer, Christophe Caro, Alexandra Cadic, Alienor de Coutard, Yves Goullioud, Philippe Jauffret, Romain Lussiez, Jean Yves Marrec, Alexandre Michalowski, Delphine Phillipe, Carine Paul, Gaelle Rembauville.
The introduction of employee share ownership at Delville Management allows employees of all generations to become shareholders.
Romain Lussiez, who became a partner at the age of 25, is a striking example. His journey demonstrates that there is no age barrier to being recognised and contributing to the firm's success — a testament to our commitment to creating equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of age or seniority.
An aspiration towards a shared and responsible future
Our employee share ownership model embodies a vision in which everyone contributes to a common goal.
We hope this model will encourage greater recognition of our efforts towards equity and transparency — core values of the firm in its relationships with employees, clients, and transition managers alike.
Our ambition is to make continuous progress in this direction, with every step bringing us closer to a future where success is truly shared.
Our commitment to sustainable development is also reflected in our participation in other initiatives. For example, we help organise Climate Fresk workshops, which aim to help transition managers understand and take action on climate issues.
In parallel, we launched our series on Radio Classique, hosted by Fabrice Lundy, dedicated to the stories of companies making a difference in terms of CSR success.
These initiatives, combined with our share ownership policy, illustrate our broader commitment to building a more ethical and responsible business.
Commitment through share ownership at Delville Management
Employee share ownership at our transition management firm is not simply a policy — it is an affirmation of our values. It is a commitment to a future in which every team member is a stakeholder in the firm's success.
By promoting value sharing at every level, we are building a strong, open corporate culture — one that is resolutely focused on the future.

Delville Management: The Go-To Firm for Restructuring
Delville Management has been ranked the number one must-know transition management firm for restructuring, in the "Restructuring & Distressed Companies" category of the Strategy, Reorganisation & Restructuring 2024 guide published by Leaders League.
What is restructuring?
Restructuring is an essential practice for supporting companies in difficulty or undergoing a period of crisis. In such situations, transition managers who specialise in turnaround and recovery are mobilised to identify underlying problems and address them. Their objective is to implement measures designed to restore profitability and long-term viability to client organisations.
At Delville Management, our transition managers are experts in crisis management.
True leaders, they rally teams around shared objectives. Their ability to maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders involved in a company turnaround is essential to the success of their restructuring plans.
Our transition management firm selects transition managers who are familiar with the client company's sector and who have prior turnaround experience — enabling them to implement swift and effective measures in response to a crisis situation.
The restructuring process begins with a thorough analysis of the company, assessing past performance, current challenges, and future opportunities.
Our turnaround transition managers then develop action plans, which may include cost reduction, internal reorganisation, or the identification of new markets.
They oversee implementation, ensuring effective crisis communication with all stakeholders, while also embedding organisational change to ensure a smooth transition.
The Leaders League Restructuring Rankings: who are they?
Leaders League: what do they do?
Leaders League is an internationally recognised authority in business evaluation and advisory services, with a focus on key sectors including legal, private equity, financial services, human capital, innovation, marketing, wealth management, and asset management.
Leaders League plays a dual role as a specialist ratings agency and an international media group.
As a media group, the agency produces sector-specific news content covering legal, financial, technology, and human resources topics.
As a ratings agency, it focuses on producing rankings and market studies, providing companies and executives with valuable tools to support their decision-making.
These rankings, which span the full commercial chain, are an up-to-date and indispensable reference for navigating international markets. It is within this framework that Delville Management was ranked number one among the must-know transition management firms for 2024 in the "Restructuring & Distressed Companies" category.
How does the ranking work?
Leaders League's research methodology for ranking transition management firms operating in the restructuring space is rigorously designed.
Four main data sources are used, all essential for evaluating firms' performance in this area.
- Detailed forms completed by candidate transition management firms covering their restructuring work over the past 12 months. These forms address a wide range of aspects, including the most significant assignments, differentiation from competitors, and more.
- Client feedback, gathered from an extensive database.
- Peer assessments collected during form completion and in-person interviews.
- Review by qualified third parties, providing impartial opinions from professionals active in the restructuring space.
Selection criteria also include the quality and nature of restructuring assignments handled, the firm's market reputation, the size and growth of the team, and the diversity and international reach of the client base.
By integrating these various data sources and evaluation criteria, Leaders League ensures the rigour and credibility of its rankings in the field of transition management for restructuring.

Arnaud Montebourg: Champion of Reindustrialisation and "Made in France"
Arnaud Montebourg, former minister and champion of reindustrialisation and the "Made in France" movement, was invited to share his vision for the future of French industry in an interview conducted by Christophe Caro and organised by the Club Delville.
The Club Delville brings together 540 senior decision-makers and executives from all sectors of activity.
It shares the values of Delville Management and provides a welcoming, collegial environment for the exchange of ideas.
Arnaud Montebourg found in it a platform to champion his commitment to industrial resilience and the "Made in France" cause.
Arnaud Montebourg's vision: reindustrialisation and job retention in France
In his address, Mr Montebourg stressed the importance of economic patriotism and national reconstruction.
He called for collective responsibility to stimulate investment in domestic industry and preserve jobs in the sector.
Reflecting on his political career, Mr Montebourg discussed the challenges faced by industrial companies in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.
He drew a comparison between the French response and that of Germany, which managed to protect its industrial fabric through measures such as short-time working schemes.
Through these examples, Arnaud Montebourg underscored the need to safeguard French industrial companies even when they are in difficulty.
In his view, these companies are often affected by the economic climate rather than by poor strategic management.
He warned that allowing our industrial base to continue deteriorating will lead to an excessive dependence on imports.
Successes and setbacks: Arnaud Montebourg confronting the obstacles to reindustrialisation
In his address, Arnaud Montebourg spoke candidly about the successes and failures he encountered during his political career in pursuit of France's reindustrialisation.
Among his achievements, he highlighted the establishment of Regional Commissioners for Productive Recovery, tasked with rescuing companies in difficulty.
He explained how PSA, which was facing bankruptcy, was saved through a partial nationalisation of the group, leading to a dilution of the Peugeot family's stake to bring in Chinese investors.
The former minister also recalled notable failures, including the ArcelorMittal and Alstom cases, where, despite his efforts, foreign interests and political pressures thwarted his actions.
He expressed his frustration at the resistance of certain political actors in delivering on electoral commitments and defending national interests.
Ultimately, through these examples, Mr Montebourg shed light on the difficulties of protecting national interests against economic and political pressures, particularly in a context of globalisation and foreign influence.
He reminded us all that "France belongs to those who make it — that is, to each of its constituent parts — and that we all hold a share of the power to act, different according to who we are, our history, our geography, our social and economic position."
Beyond politics: Arnaud Montebourg continues his fight for reindustrialisation
"What is France? Liberty, equality, fraternity. First, liberty. Want to be free? Then produce for yourselves what you need, rather than buying from others — their products, their patents, their way of life. Do you want to be enslaved to the Chinese?" declares Arnaud Montebourg.
Having left political life and the role of minister, Arnaud Montebourg became an entrepreneur and chose to continue his fight for "Made in France" by launching or participating in various businesses: Alfeor, Lithium de France, Ferromobile, and others. In his address, he expressed his opposition to the importation of cheap goods from China. In his view, industrial self-sufficiency and a reindustrialisation of France could generate a 5-point increase in GDP.
In short, Arnaud Montebourg embodies determination and passion for the preservation of national industry, defying economic and political pressures in pursuit of a prosperous future for France.
How Delville Management's actions reflect Arnaud Montebourg's commitment
Delville Management, an expert in proximity-based transition management, takes a proactive approach similar to that of Arnaud Montebourg in supporting companies facing difficulties.
To this end, our transition management firm specialises in rapidly placing expert senior executives within companies to help them overcome their challenges. These transition managers can be deployed, in particular, to:
- carry out a company turnaround and implement a crisis management plan;
- provide leadership transition management following an abrupt departure that puts the company at risk;
- manage complex projects that existing teams are ill-equipped to handle;
- act as a change management consultancy (restructuring work organisation, introducing new management practices, etc.)
Arnaud Montebourg's commitment therefore finds a clear echo in Delville Management's mission to support companies on their path towards a more favourable future.

The renewal of the EcoVadis Silver certification in 2024 by our transition management firm is based on several certified criteria. These include compliance with professional ethics, guaranteed practitioner competence, strict adherence to labour legislation, and clear, appropriate contractual formalisation of relationships between parties. They also include tailored service delivery and ongoing monitoring of service quality based on client satisfaction.

Delville Management welcomes Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas
Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas shares his account of the Notre-Dame de Paris reconstruction project.
Portrait of Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas:
Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas has held several positions of responsibility, notably as rector of the sanctuary of Notre-Dame de Lourdes since 2019. Prior to that, he served as secretary general and spokesperson for the French Bishops' Conference. He also served as emeritus titular canon of the Diocese of Paris and episcopal vicar to the Archbishop of Paris. In September 2022, he took up his role as rector-archpriest of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Upon taking up his duties as archpriest of Notre-Dame de Paris in September 2022, Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas immediately met with the workers on the cathedral's construction site. This significant encounter marked his very first days in the role.
Four years after the fire of 15 April 2019, which partially destroyed Notre-Dame de Paris, where does the restoration stand?
This is what Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas will share at our Club Delville event scheduled for 28 November, hosted by our transition management firm.
The structural stabilisation and consolidation works on the cathedral were completed in the summer of 2021. Once this critical phase was finished, the first stage of vault restoration began with the extraction of stone from a quarry in the Oise region.
- The great roof timber frame, destroyed by the fire, is being rebuilt in solid oak following the original medieval design. At the same time, the first roof trusses for the choir were raised in August 2021.
- The spire, which collapsed during the fire, will be restored to its original appearance following Viollet-le-Duc's 19th-century design. The cutting of the 1,000 oak trees required for its reconstruction is being completed across 45 sawmills throughout France.
- The great organ, damaged by soot and water, is currently being cleaned and restored in three organ-building workshops. Its 8,000 pipes and 19 wind chests will be reinstalled in the cathedral in 2023.
- Wall paintings, sculptures, stained glass windows and other interior decorative elements will also be restored by specialist craftspeople. Works are expected to be completed in 2024, ahead of a planned reopening on 8 December of the same year.
With the cathedral now fully secured, the major reconstruction works are under way, with the restoration of the spire as the centrepiece.
Club Delville under the patronage of Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas and Sylvie Bretones
Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas, joined by Sylvie Bretones, General Delegate of the Fondation Notre Dame, will honour us with their presence. Together, they will share the latest progress on the historic Notre-Dame de Paris restoration project and the interior design projects presented this summer. They will also reflect on the global wave of solidarity sparked by the cathedral fire. Do not miss this rare and unique opportunity! As a committed transition management firm, we are proud to host the exceptional visit of Monseigneur Olivier Ribadeau Dumas.
